UBDS Group's Rayo unit is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong AWS expertise to design, build and deliver scalable data platforms and pipelines within AWS. You will work with architects, security specialists and client teams to translate requirements into robust, secure data solutions, establish engineering standards and patterns, and mentor other engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineer with enterprise experience.
• Strong AWS data services knowledge.
• Proficient Python and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD for data workloads.
• Experience with data lakes and data warehouses.
• Security, governance and data protection awareness.
• SC clearance desirable/eligible.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines within AWS.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming and processing data from multiple sources.
• Design data models and storage approaches for analytical and operational needs.
• Develop solutions using Python and SQL, plus modern data engineering frameworks.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code and automation for deployment and management of data platforms.
• Build data quality, validation, monitoring and observability into solutions.
• Ensure security, governance and data protection throughout design and delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, cloud engineers and security SMEs to integrate solutions.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to explain decisions and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot data, performance and integration issues across environments.
• Define and promote data engineering standards and best practices.
• Mentor and support other engineers to foster knowledge sharing.
