Job summary

UBDS Group, and its Rayo practice, seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and deliver modern data platforms on AWS. You will build pipelines, collaborate with architects and client teams, and drive engineering standards across projects.

You will mentor peers, contribute to secure and compliant data solutions, and work in a fast-paced environment delivering high-impact data capabilities for public sector and regulated clients.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience delivering data solutions on AWS with a focus on scalability and security.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines within AWS.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT processes from multiple data sources.
• Design data models and storage approaches for analytical and operational use cases.
• Implement data quality, monitoring and observability within data solutions.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code and automation to deployment and management of platforms.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
