Job summary

UBDS Group's Rayo Rayo arm seeks an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong AWS expertise to design, build and deliver scalable, secure data solutions for clients in regulated environments. You will lead data platform design, pipelines and services within AWS, collaborating with architects, security specialists and client teams.

You will mentor engineers, influence engineering practices and promote robust data quality, governance and observability across solutions.

Qualifications

Significant hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in complex enterprise environments.
Strong experience designing and delivering data solutions on AWS.
Strong knowledge of AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, EMR).
Strong Python and SQL skills.
Experience designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data processing workflows.
Knowledge of data lakes, data warehouses and modern data platform architectures.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable data platforms and data pipelines within AWS.
Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming and processing data from multiple sources.
Design data models and storage approaches for analytical and operational needs.
Develop solutions using Python and SQL; apply IaC and automation for deployment and management.
Mentor and support other engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Ensure data security, governance and data quality across solutions.
