Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate/Associate Director to provide technical leadership for bridge and civil design and assessment projects in the UK and overseas. You will mentor teams, manage resources, and lead tenders while delivering quality on time and within budget.

You will join a Civil and Bridge Engineering team across the South West & Wales, with hardware to work across multiple offices. The role requires Chartered status and strong client engagement.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with UK experience.
• Experience leading bridge projects and design reviews.
• Knowledge of DMRB and MCDHW in structural schemes.
• Strong client engagement and bid/tender capability.
• Mentoring junior team members and leading a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to bridge/civil design and assessment teams.
• Lead design reviews to optimise solutions and coordinate inputs.
• Manage resources and develop relationships with other teams.
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
• Lead a culture of technical review and challenge.
• Develop client relationships and lead tenders/bids.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
