Job summary

South West Norse in Exeter, Devon, is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist to lead project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and produce high-quality technical information across RIBA stages.

The role requires CIAT accreditation or progress toward chartership, extensive experience on complex projects—especially educational ones—and advanced Revit skills with 2D drafting and NBS Chorus familiarity.

Qualifications

• Professional accreditation such as CIAT or progress toward chartership preferred.
• Extensive experience leading and delivering complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams across all RIBA stages.
• Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction information.
• Mentor junior staff and review their work.
• Prepare Planning and Building Control applications.
• Travel to client offices and construction sites as required.
• Identify and help develop new business opportunities.
