Job summary

Janus Henderson Group is hiring a Senior AI Platform Engineer to own the AI tooling estate, from Azure AI Foundry to Copilot services. You will oversee the model gateway, onboarding of new AI software, and policy-driven deployments across the firm, balancing production needs with security and cost controls.

You will collaborate with AI Architecture, Governance, Security, and Procurement, driving repeatable onboarding and cost-conscious decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust

Qualifications

• Five+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
• Experience with AI tooling, model gateways, and SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on admin for large enterprise SaaS at tenant scale.
• Ability to manage licences, entitlements, and budgets.
• Strong security, privacy, risk, and audit awareness.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and operate shared AI software and platform services.
• Own AI tools lifecycle from discovery to retirement.
• Automate provisioning, policy enforcement, and evidence collection.
• Provide L2 support and coordinate with vendors and Central Technology.
• Operate the model gateway and routes to providers.
• Define deployment plans for Copilot services and licenses.
• Maintain telemetry, budgets, licences, and vendor relationships.
