Job summary

Janus Henderson is undertaking a firm-wide AI transformation and seeks an engineer who can turn risk and policy requirements into concrete platform controls. You will build identity, access, and governance into Nexus and Accio, ensuring auditable, testable, production-ready AI workloads with clear ownership and telemetry.

You will work across Risk, Infosec, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Audit to translate needs into technical designs, balancing security with rapid innovation.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years in software, platform, or security engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on experience in APIs, IaC, and CI/CD.
• Ability to translate risk/policy into technical design engineers can implement.
• Experience building governance controls in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build governance into the platform via policy-as-code, deployment gates, and secure defaults.
• Design identity, access, and permissions for agents, models, and tools with IAM collaboration.
• Develop telemetry, evidence, and evaluation layers for control validation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Infosec, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Audit to translate needs into requirements.
• Provide auditable framework for ownership, data access, testing, change history, and retirement.
• Ensure production AI workloads have owner, risk classification, evaluation records, and release evidence.
