Job summary

JCT600 Ltd in Hull is seeking a General Service Manager to lead one of our larger aftersales operations, including a 25 bay workshop, around 20 technicians and a service support team. You’ll own the department's performance, profitability and customer experience, driving capacity, productivity and staff development.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading a busy automotive service or aftersales operation.
• Strong track record of managing workshop performance, productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Commercial awareness with budgets and key financial measures.
• Confident and engaging leadership to coach, develop and lead a sizeable team.
• Understanding of service operations, workshop loading and compliance.
• Ability to manage customer concerns professionally and protect long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, and supporting the service team to achieve strong performance and great customer outcomes.
• Managing workshop capacity, bookings, and resources to ensure efficient workflow and maximum productivity.
• Maintaining brand standards and developing positive relationships with manufacturer partners.
• Reviewing performance data, customer feedback, and financial metrics to identify improvements and support continuous development.
• Handling customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolutions and positive outcomes.
