Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Aftersales Manager for a large automotive operation covering Manchester and Liverpool. You will lead Service, Parts, Bodyshop and Warranty, driving profitability and high service standards.

Qualifications

Senior Aftersales Manager - Automotive

Manchester & Liverpool / North West

£60,000 - £80,000 OTE, dependent on experience -Company Car | Additional Benefits | Senior Leadership Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Aftersales Manager to take responsibility for a substantial automotive aftersales operation covering the Manchester and Liverpool areas.

The role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will have overall responsibility for the performance and development of the aftersales operation.

You will lead from the front, working closely with your management teams to drive commercial performance, operational efficiency and consistently high standards of customer service.

This is not simply a role maintaining an established operation. You will be expected to understand where improvements can be made, challenge existing processes where necessary and implement positive change across people, performance and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Service, Parts, Bodyshop and Warranty functions
• Take responsibility for overall aftersales performance, profitability and operational standards
• Drive departmental efficiency, productivity and commercial performance
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer experience and profitability
• Lead, coach and develop management teams
• Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability throughout the operation
• Analyse departmental performance and implement effective improvement strategies
• Work closely with senior leadership and Directors to support wider business objectives
• Ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
• Develop a positive, high-performance culture across the aftersales operation
• Challenge the status quo and continually look for opportunities to improve performance

About you

You will already have substantial automotive aftersales management experience, ideally gained within a large dealership, dealer group, car supermarket or similarly high-volume automotive environment.

You will need:

• Previous experience in a senior Aftersales Manager, Head of Aftersales, Group Aftersales or comparable senior automotive management position
• Proven experience managing large, busy and high-volume aftersales operations
• Strong knowledge of automotive Service and Parts operations, with exposure to Bodyshop and Warranty functions highly advantageous
• Excellent commercial awareness with a clear understanding of departmental profitability and performance
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• The ability to coach, mentor and develop managers and their teams
• A hands-on leadership style with resilience, determination and the confidence to make changes
• The ability to identify opportunities and turn them into measurable improvements
• A genuine passion for developing people and creating high-performing teams
