Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Belfast engineering team on a dedicated night shift, delivering design and airworthiness compliance across aerostructures and systems. You will lead and mentor an engineering team, own project milestones, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to keep our 24/7 manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering with 3+ years of design engineering experience.
• Knowledge of aircraft structures or systems installation in aerospace design.
• Familiarity with aerospace regulatory requirements (CAA, EASA, FAA) and analysis methods.
• Ability to apply advanced engineering analysis and testing to complex aerostructures and systems.
• Alternatively an HNC/HND with 5+ years of design engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to an engineering team.
• Own projects or work packages and meet milestones and budgets.
• Maintain design engineering expertise across the lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.
