Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited in Belfast is seeking an experienced Senior Design MRB Engineer for a permanent night-shift role. You will be the on-shift technical authority for MRB design decisions, rapidly dispositions for defects and concessions, and resolving shop-floor issues to keep production moving safely.

Lead design trade studies, prepare modifications, and work closely with internal teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• HNC in engineering with 3+ years design engineering experience.
• Experience with metallic/composite structures and/or systems installation design using CATIA V5.
• Strong analytical ability with accountability for delivering tasks on time, cost and quality.
• Clear communicator with cross-team collaboration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all designs comply with certification requirements and prepare approvals and modifications.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve manufacturing issues and advise on repairs.
• Lead trade studies and manage technical tasks to support shop-floor production.
• Direct and coach junior engineers; prepare progress reports; represent design in reviews.
