Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited seeks an experienced Senior Design MRB Engineer to provide night-shift engineering authority for MRB design activities and quick dispositions of manufacturing issues. You will lead design tasks, resolve defects, and ensure certification compliance while coordinating with internal teams on repairs and improvements.

The role involves coaching junior engineers, preparing progress reports, and representing the design function in reviews.

Qualifications

• HNC in engineering with 3+ years' design engineering experience.
• Willingness to work a dedicated Night Shift pattern.
• Experience with metallic/composite structures and CATIA V5.
• Strong analytical ability and cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure designs meet certification requirements and prepare changes.
• Provide rapid dispositions for defects and manage shop-floor issues.
• Lead design tasks and trade studies to support production.
• Coach junior engineers and prepare progress reports.
• Represent design in technical reviews and cross‑department meetings.
