Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager – Basildon – £36,000 - £52,000

A well-established accountancy practice is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and mentor junior staff, work closely with clients, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. Role Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, FRS 102, and Companies House filing requirements.
• Provide clients with strategic insights based on financial data.
• Supervise junior staff, delegate tasks, and review their work.
• Coach, mentor, and support team members in their professional development.
• Lead team meetings and foster a collaborative working culture.
• Ensure all work is completed with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional integrity.

Personal Requirements

• AAT qualified minimum; ACA or ACCA qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of UK tax and accounting regulations.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial modelling.
