Overview

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be retained by Kelly Accounting in Crieff to recruit a Senior Accountant on a permanent full time basis. Reporting into the Director for the practice, the successful Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in delivering to a varied clients base, whilst taking ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients.

As the Senior Accountant, you will have a strong background within the profession and be confident handling a wide variety of tasks across accounts production, advisory and tax whilst supporting your client base with ad-hoc projects that may arise.

You may be in possession of your full accounting qualifications, ACCA, CA or equivalent although consideration will also be given to those deemed Qualified by Experience with a varied enough background.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors.
  • Monthly production of management accounts for clients and associated commentaries.
  • Achieving corporation tax deadlines for returns.
  • Preparation of VAT returns.
  • Daily use of Xero and Microsoft Excel alongside various other packages as required.
  • Hold direct communication with clients and maintain strong professional relationships, maximising opportunities for the firm.
Qualifications and profile

As the Senior Accountant you will be a confident team player, capable of prioritising your own workload and ensuring that deadlines are achieved. Additionally, you will be confident using your own initiative and possess first class organisational and problem solving skills.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have previous experience working within a similar position within the profession, or are alternatively looking to progress into a role at this level.
