Job summary

Dorset Council is seeking a Trust 3rd Line IT Engineer to join Twynham Learning multi-academy trust. You will be part of the Core Services team, delivering advanced IT support, leading escalations, and ensuring stability across eight schools.

The role involves setting technology roadmaps, performing maintenance, cyber security, and training colleagues to raise overall IT capability across the trust.

Qualifications

• Strong technical IT background with experience maintaining and improving infrastructure.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4/C or above) or equivalent IT qualifications.
• Confident, collaborative approach – able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced IT support and manage escalations.
• Lead IT maintenance tasks, backups, cyber security and documentation.
• Collaborate with staff across the Trust to improve knowledge and practice.
• Maintain infrastructure and service delivery across eight schools.
• Set out technology roadmap and manage IT change projects.
