Job summary

Ridgeway Academy seeks a Senior IT Technician to join the ICT team, delivering 1st and 2nd line support for staff and students across the school and Trust IT systems. The role ensures reliable, secure operation of IT services and includes supporting devices, user accounts, printing, and network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows 11 and Windows Server environments required.
• Experience managing Google Workspace for Education and ChromeOS administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with SCCM/Intune or similar device management tools.
• Knowledge of managed network infrastructure (switches, wireless, VLANs, TCP/IP).
• Experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Familiarity with printing and classroom tech support services.
• Understanding of cyber security principles including MFA, patching and access control.
• Experience with IT support/helpdesk processes and fault diagnosis.
• Safeguarding responsibilities relating to school IT systems, including filtering/monitoring.
• Experience with virtualisation and school MIS systems would be advantageous.

A Senior IT Technician is required to join the ICT team at Ridgeway Academy, working full time (52 weeks) to provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff and students and support the reliable, secure and effective operation of IT services across the school. The role will include supporting and maintaining devices, user accounts, printing, network infrastructure, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and other Trust IT systems. Whilst the position is based at Ridgeway Academy, you will work closely with a team of highly skilled ICT Technicians and Managers across the Trust and will support wider Trust IT projects and services as required.
