Job summary

SENse Learning seeks a SEND Teacher in Portsmouth to provide one-to-one support across SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD and PMLD. Roles include in-person, online/remote, and hybrid sessions with flexible scheduling and self-employed status. Interviewing on rolling basis with ongoing applications.

Applicants should have 2+ years post-NQT experience, QTS/QTLS, and a trauma-informed, student-centered teaching style, enabling bespoke educational plans for diverse needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Experience in child-centred, holistic teaching and safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report lessons with regular progress feedback
• Support pupils from KS1–KS5 as appropriate and tailor sessions around EHCPs and risk assessments
