Job summary

SENse Learning in Bournemouth is seeking a SEND Teacher to deliver one-to-one support for children and young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD. Roles include SEND Tutor, Intervention Tutor, and Specialist Teacher, with flexible in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching options.

You will work within the Alternative Provision approach, building trauma-informed, student-centered lessons tailored to EHCP plans, and collaborating with families and schools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Child-centred, holistic teaching approach with ability to adapt the curriculum for individuals.
• Enhanced DBS check and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with the right to work, including for remote/online roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring tailored to EHCPs and risk assessments.
• Plan and report lessons and give regular feedback on student progress.
• Collaborate with families, schools and local authorities as needed.
