Job summary

TeacherActive in Mansfield is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND at a local school. Start ASAP. Salary is £92.63–£100 per day, paid PAYE, offering reliable onboarding and ongoing support.

You will work with students aged 16–25 across day-to-day bookings, delivering individual and group support to access education and engage positively in class, with opportunities to develop through CPD and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid DBS, or be willing to obtain the appropriate checks.
• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND.
• Confidence working with students aged 16-25 with a variety of additional needs.
• A patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A flexible and adaptable attitude.

Responsibilities

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support across day-to-day bookings which is great fror pople who are looking for flexibility in their work. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with students and staff to provide individual and group support, helping learners with a range of SEND to access their education and engage positively within the school environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A valid DBS, or be willing to obtain the appropriate checks
• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND
• Confidence working with students aged 16-25 with a variety of additional needs
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
