Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND at a Mansfield-based school. You will assist across day-to-day bookings, helping learners aged 16-25 access education with patience and adaptability.

The role requires a valid DBS or willingness to obtain one, experience with SEND, and strong communication and teamwork. Flexible working patterns are available through the agency, with competitive PAYE rates and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £92.63 - £100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school based in Mansfield, supporting students with a variety of Special educational needs including PMLD, ASD, ADHD, MLS etc

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support across day-to-day bookings which is great fror pople who are looking for flexibility in their work. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with students and staff to provide individual and group support, helping learners with a range of SEND to access their education and engage positively within the school environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A valid DBS, or be willing to obtain the appropriate checks
• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND
• Confidence working with students aged 16-25 with a variety of additional needs
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
