Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a SEND school in Mansfield to place a Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of needs, including PMLD, ASD, ADHD and MLS. The role covers day-to-day bookings with flexible hours, providing individual and group support to help learners access education and engage positively in the school environment.

Applicants should have a valid DBS (or willingness to obtain), experience with SEND, patience, resilience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Valid DBS or willing to obtain checks.
• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND.
• Confidence with students aged 16-25 with diverse needs.

Salary: £92.63 - £100 per day

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support across day-to-day bookings which is great fror pople who are looking for flexibility in their work. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with students and staff to provide individual and group support, helping learners with a range of SEND to access their education and engage positively within the school environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• A valid DBS, or be willing to obtain the appropriate checks
• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND
• Confidence working with students aged 16-25 with a variety of additional needs
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A flexible and adaptable attitude
