Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for a Nottinghamshire-based SEND school. You will support pupils with Autism/ ASD, learning difficulties, communication needs, PMLD and SEMH, working alongside teachers to deliver tailored interventions and boost engagement in learning.

The role involves day-to-day and long-term supply across a nurturing, inclusive environment. A patient, adaptable approach and genuine passion for helping young people achieve their goals are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• A good understanding of a variety of SEND.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to support pupils with challenging behaviours where required.

Responsibilities

Salary: £92.63 - £100 a day

The schools are looking for passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support them for both day to day and long term supply.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism / ASD, learning difficulties, communication needs, PMLD and SEMH, working closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support, deliver interventions and encourage positive engagement in learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A good understanding of a variety of SEND

• The ability to support pupils with challenging behaviours where required
