Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to support young people with additional needs in Hull. This long-term temporary supply role offers flexible patterns and the potential to move into a permanent position.

Must hold QTS and bring experience with children with Autism/ASD, SEMH or ADHD, plus strong behaviour and classroom management skills. Competitive daily rates and dedicated consultant support are provided.

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £160 - £230 per day

These settings provide inclusive and nurturing environments for children and young people with additional needs, promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing through tailored learning approaches and therapeutic support.

We are looking for dedicated SEND Teachers to work on a long-term temporary supply basis across a variety of SEND settings in Hull, with the opportunity to become a permanent role in the future. The successful SEND Teacher will be supporting students across different Key Stages with needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term assignments, with flexible working patterns to suit your availability.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Experience supporting students with Autism / ASD, SEMH or ADHD
• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
