Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a caring SEND Teacher to work in a specialist school / Alternative provision in Leeds. You'll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them grow in confidence as well as in the classroom.

If you value building strong relationships and believe every child deserves the chance to succeed, we'd love to hear from you. You'll plan and deliver lessons tailored to individual learning needs and work with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists and school

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS or strong SEND teaching experience
• Experience in SEND, SEMH, SEN or specialist education is desirable
• Confidence adapting lessons to suit a range of needs
• A calm, compassionate and flexible approach

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons that meet individual learning needs
• Adapt teaching for pupils with ASD, SEMH, PMLD and other complex needs
• Build positive relationships where trust comes first
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists and wider school teams
• Create calm, structured classrooms where pupils can thrive
• Support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
