Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teacher to work in Hull across a range of SEND settings. The role offers flexible long-term temporary supply with potential for a permanent position in the future.

You will hold QTS and have experience with students with Autism/ASD, ADHD, or SEMH, plus strong behaviour management and excellent communication to build positive relationships with learners.

Qualifications

Job Title: SEND Teacher

Location: Hull

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £160 - £230 per day

These settings provide inclusive and nurturing environments for children and young people with additional needs, promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing through tailored learning approaches and therapeutic support.

We are looking for dedicated SEND Teachers to work on a long-term temporary supply basis across a variety of SEND settings in Hull, with the opportunity to become a permanent role in the future. The successful SEND Teacher will be supporting students across different Key Stages with needs including Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term assignments, with flexible working patterns to suit your availability.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS


• Experience working with children and young people with additional needs


• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills


• Experience supporting students with Autism / ASD, SEMH or ADHD


• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach


• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
