Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream school in Sheffield to recruit a SEND Teacher on a short-term, full-time basis, with the potential to become long term for the right candidate. The SEND Hub supports young people with SEND and SEMH needs while delivering engaging lessons and adapting to individual needs.

The successful candidate will join a school committed to inclusivity and providing a supportive learning environment to help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Qualifications

• QTS (ECTs welcome) and SEND/SEMH experience.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Patient, resilient and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons within the SEND hub.
• Adapt learning to meet individual needs for SEND pupils.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all learners.

Job Title: SEND Teacher

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £170 - £200 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream school in Sheffield that provides dedicated SEND support through its specialist SEND hub. The school is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where young people with SEND and SEMH needs can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to take on a SEND Teacher on a short-term, full-time basis, with the opportunity for the placement to become long term for the right candidate. The successful SEND Teacher will work within the SEND hub, supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs while delivering engaging lessons, adapting learning to individual needs and creating a positive classroom environment.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs
• Experience adapting teaching and learning to meet individual needs
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and supportive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
