Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a compassionate SEND Teacher for a specialist school in Walsall. You will deliver highly personalised lessons to pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, guided by EHCP outcomes, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

The role starts September 2026 and is long-term with potential for permanence, offering a rewarding environment where every child is valued and supported.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Minimum of 6 months' experience teaching pupils with SEN within a UK school
• Experience differentiating learning to meet complex needs
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, personalised lessons to meet individual EHCP outcomes
• Support pupils with complex learning, physical and sensory needs
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and healthcare professionals
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment records
