Job summary

Burnley College is seeking a dedicated SEND Support Practitioner to join our Additional Learning Support team. You will work with learners with SEND to deliver high-quality, inclusive support, helping students understand and record their work while addressing their individual needs.

The role is on-site at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre; safeguarding and DBS checks apply. A Level 2 Learning Support qualification is required or a commitment to obtain one, with a focus on equality and learner

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Learning Support qualification, or willingness to achieve one in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of issues affecting learners with SEND or learning difficulties/disabilities.
• Ability to plan and deliver supportive sessions for individuals or small groups.

• Deliver high-quality and effective support to individuals or small groups, ensuring an outstanding learning experience.
• Plan and run relevant, supportive sessions, helping students understand and record their work while considering their needs to support holistic health and wellbeing.
