Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a dedicated learning support assistant to work across all sites in Blackburn, supporting learners from entry to level 3, including A level and T levels. You will provide a proactive learning support service to help students progress in their studies and future employment, while fostering positive behaviours, attendance, and resilient attitudes to learning.

• Knowledge and understanding of barriers and issues faced by students with special educational needs and disabilities and strategies to overcome these.

• Support learners in working towards their programme of study and long-term employment aspirations.
• Work with curriculum teams to ensure learners have opportunities to achieve and progress.
