Job summary

Botley School in Oxford is seeking a SEND Teacher - Resource Base to join our new base for pupils with high communication and interaction needs. You will lead a class of 8 pupils with a bespoke curriculum based on the Engagement Model, within a dedicated space and in partnership with senior leaders and SEN teachers.

The role requires QTS and a strong SEND background, with a commitment to an inclusive ethos and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has strong SEND knowledge.
• Experience delivering inclusive teaching to pupils with SEND.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalised learning for SEND pupils.
• Plan/adapt learning to meet EHCP outcomes.
• Monitor progress and use assessment to inform teaching.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, parents and external agencies.
• Promote pupil wellbeing, independence and personal development.
• Contribute to whole-school inclusion and ethos.
