London South East Colleges is seeking a committed learning support practitioner to assist learners with SEND, enabling access to programmes and services while supporting EHCP outcomes. You will work with diverse learners, including those with complex needs, providing person-centred support with sensitivity and dignity.

Role involves assisting with personal care or mobility where needed, maintaining professionalism, and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills essential.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships with learners and stakeholders.
• Understanding safeguarding, discrimination and accessibility barriers.
• Confident supporting learners with personal care and mobility needs.
• Good organisational and IT skills, adaptable to changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to learners with SEND.
• Enable access to programmes and College services.
• Support development of learning/study skills and EHCP outcomes.
• Work with individuals or small groups, fostering independence.
