Job summary

London South East Colleges is seeking compassionate learning support staff to assist students with SEN across our Bromley campuses, helping them access learning programmes and college services.

You will provide person-centred support, including personal care where required, work with individuals or small groups, and help students develop study skills and independence, in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with students, staff and carers.
• Experience in a multi-cultural environment and safeguarding knowledge are essential.
• Willingness to assist learners with personal care and mobility where required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred learning support to students with SEN, including access to learning programmes and College services.
• Support individual or small groups and encourage independence and engagement.
• Assist with personal care where necessary and take instructions on support needs.
• Maintain sound administration, IT use and organisational practices within the Learning Support team.
