Job summary

Cover People are recruiting a SEND Primary Teacher for a specialist primary school in Trafford, starting September 2026. You will teach a KS2 class of pupils with complex learning needs, delivering differentiated lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes.

The role is full-time and long-term, with potential for permanency. You will collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and the wider SEND team, monitor progress, and build strong relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching primary pupils, preferably in SEND or specialist settings.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Teach a KS2 class of pupils with complex learning needs.
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes.
• Create a calm, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the SEND team.
• Monitor progress and support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external professionals.
