Job summary

Cover People are recruiting for a Primary Complex Needs SEND Teacher at a specialist primary school in Salford that is looking to start in September 2026. This is a full-time, long‑term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex needs, monitor development toward EHCP outcomes, and collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and school leaders to create a safe, nurturing learning

Qualifications

Hold QTS or QTLS or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Experience planning and delivering differentiated lessons for pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs.
Monitor pupil development and contribute to EHCP outcomes.
Create a safe, positive and nurturing classroom environment.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, support staff, school leaders and therapists.
Support pupils with communication, emotional development, independence and academic progress.
Apply positive behaviour management strategies and participate in staff meetings.
