Job summary

Cover People are seeking a dedicated Primary Complex Needs SEND Teacher for a specialist school in Salford, starting September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term role with potential to become permanent, Monday to Friday, with daily pay of £160–£230 DOE via PAYE.

You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, monitor progress towards EHCP outcomes, and collaborate with a specialist team to provide tailored support for pupils with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Have experience planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with complex needs.
• Monitor and assess pupil development and provide feedback.
• Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and school staff.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional development and academic progress.
• Apply positive behaviour management strategies and maintain a calm learning environment.
• Attend staff meetings and engage in professional development.
