Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Intervention Tutors to deliver one-to-one, bespoke interventions for students with SEND and SEMH needs across the UK. Roles include SEND Tutor, Specialist Teacher, and SEND Teacher, with in-person, hybrid, and remote options.

You will work in a child-centred, trauma-informed way to re-engage learners. Applicants should have 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience, QTS or QTLS, and be based in the UK with right to work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
• Child-centred, holistic teaching approach with creativity to tailor curriculum to the individual learner
• Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: must be based in the UK with right to work, even for remote/online roles
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with a range of needs and challenging educational experiences
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid support to students with SEMH and SEND needs (including MLD, SLD, PMLD)
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to the learner’s EHCP and risk assessment
• Plan and report lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
