Engage Education are seeking an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN across schools in the Liverpool area, focusing on 1:1 and small group work. Located in Stockport, the role runs Nov 2026–Oct 2027 and offers paid daily rates with a progression path.

You'll gain full-time paid experience, access free CPD courses, and a guaranteed TA qualification upon course completion, with potential for a permanent position thereafter.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• Open to full-time work starting September 2026.
• DBS update service desirable but not mandatory.
• Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience graduates desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support to children.
• Create a warm, inspiring atmosphere throughout the school day.
• Build rapport with students and report to the SENCO.
• Communicate with colleagues to coordinate support.
