Job summary

Engage Education is recruiting an Apprentice SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant SEN team at a large 2-form entry primary school in Bury. This 11-month apprenticeship offers paid experience and a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE).

You will work 1:1 and in small groups across EYFS/KS1/KS2, gaining hands-on SEN experience while earning and learning within a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4+ (or equivalent) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with additional needs (including Autism, ADHD, communication needs, and physical/learning difficulties)
• Assist pupils with tailored learning activities, speech & language targets, and sensory breaks
• Support children's social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, nurturing environment
• Assist class teachers and the SENCo with resource preparation and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs))
• Help encourage positive behaviour and promote independence in classroom activities

This is a dedicated 11‑month apprenticeship programme. We are seeking a reliable, motivated individual who is fully committed to signing the learning agreement and completing the full 11‑month journey to gain their Level 3 qualification.

Key Responsibilities
