Job summary

Engage Education are partnering with Rochdale secondary schools to recruit a Graduate Apprentice TA to provide 1:1 and small group SEN support for pupils with complex learning needs.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, September 2026 to July 2027, paying £65–£80 per day. You will gain a guaranteed TA qualification upon completing the 11-month course, with potential for permanent progression.

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• 2026 graduates desirable.
• Outgoing and engaging individual with interest in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small group SEN support.

Graduate Apprentice TA - Role Information:

• Conducting specifically tailored 1:1 & small group support for children with SEN
• Creating warm and inspiring atmosphere for children throughout school day
• Creating and sustaining meaningful rapport with students
• Communicating with colleagues and reporting to school SENCO
• Located in one Rochdale secondary school for full academic year

Graduate Apprentice TA - Benefits:

• Paid £65 - £80 per day during term time
• Paid throughout the holiday periods

• Guaranteed TA qualification pending completion of 11 month course - Level 3 or Level 4
