Lightwater Village Infant and Junior School is seeking a dedicated SENCO Assistant to support inclusion across the schools. Working under the SENCO, you will help develop progress and access to high-quality education for children aged 2 to 11 within the GLF cluster.

The role requires safeguarding awareness, strong communication, and the ability to maintain calm support in challenging situations. It offers a collaborative environment with colleagues across the cluster.

Qualifications

• Experience working within SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
• Understanding safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated team player.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with young children.
• Understand educational, welfare and social needs of the children supported.
• Remain calm and objective with challenging behaviour.
