Job summary

GLF Schools is seeking a dedicated SENCO Assistant at Lightwater Village Infant and Junior School to support inclusion and pupil progress under the SENCO. You will assist in developing educational plans and welfare support across the cluster, working with staff to ensure every child is valued and able to thrive.

Join a supportive Trust offering 24 hours per week over 39 weeks, with a January 2027 start and flexible working options.

• Experience working within SEND.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with young children.
• Understand educational, welfare and social needs of the children.

Responsibilities

• Support SENCO in promoting inclusive education across the cluster.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SENCO Assistant to join our committed and nurturing team. This position plays an essential part in supporting an inclusive and nurturing school environment. Working closely under the direction of the SENCO, you will play a key role in supporting the development, progress, and exceptional education of children across the schools. Your contribution will ensure every child feels valued, included, and equipped with the best possible opportunity to thrive.

Our school stands at the heart of the village community of Lightwater. We offer an outstanding start to education for children from 2 to 11 years old, consistently achieving excellence, yet also engaging children in imaginative and exciting themes whereby learning comes alive.

The Details

Start Date: January 2027

Salary: £28,009 - £28,757 FTE

Pay Scale: Specialist Point 1 - 4

Actual Salary: £16,063.99 - £16,492.99

Hours: 24 hours a week - Wednesday to Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm (39 weeks)

Closing Date: Sunday 25th October at 11.59pm
