1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) Permanent Position

We are seeking a caring, dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with Special Educational Needs. This is a permanent role, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in a child s educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to help a child access learning in class.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and learning plans.

  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.

  • Support the child s emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress.

  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred but not essential).

  • Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to supporting learning.

  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships.

  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, parents and external professionals.
