Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Ealing, West London. This full-time, term-time role focuses on 1:1 and small-group support for children with ASD, SLCN, and SEMH, under the guidance of the SENCO.

You will adapt daily activities, use visual aids and ABA-like supports, monitor progress with teachers and therapists, and contribute to an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4+ or better.
• Clear Enhanced DBS check.
• Experience with children with complex needs is preferred.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small-group support.
• Term-time, full-time commitment and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 learning support aligned to EHCPs and sensory breaks.
• Use visuals, PECS, and Makaton to aid communication and participation.
• Support behaviour regulation and transitions to create calm learning spaces.
• Track pupil progress and liaise with SENCO and therapists.
