Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping a Southall primary school recruit an ASD Teaching Assistant for term-time, full-time employment. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, working with teachers and the SENCO to enable learning and social interaction.

The role requires patience, empathy and experience with ASD, plus GCSE English and Maths and a clear Enhanced DBS check. Term-time duties will align with school schedules and EHCP guided activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to work in a team with SENCO and teachers.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support.
• Use PECS and visual aids to aid communication.
• Support sensory processing and emotional regulation.
• Help pupils transition between tasks and activities.
