Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant in Studley to work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil who is non-verbal and has low-level needs. The role is full-time and involves supporting access to learning and social development, collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO.

You will be joining a friendly, supportive team and benefit from safeguarding training, pension contributions, and ongoing placement support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an SEN TA or supporting children with additional needs.
• Patient, nurturing and empathetic approach.
• Confidence providing personal care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Flexible and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil, in the classroom.
• Supporting learning activities tailored to the child’s individual needs.
• Encouraging social interaction and emotional development.
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider staff team.
• Promoting a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
