Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• Caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of SEN, safeguarding, behaviour management and inclusive education.
• Qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN or Education and Childcare are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Implement individual learning plans, EHCP targets and personalised support strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to promote positive pupil outcomes.
• Support positive behaviour, engagement, independence and inclusion throughout the school day.
