Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an SEN School in the New Forest area, between Brockenhurst and Lymington. The role is full-time with a temporary-to-permanent contract and starts ASAP.

Hours are 8.30am–4.30pm Monday–Thursday and 8.30am–4pm Friday. It is a term-time post (39 weeks) with salary determined by qualifications and experience. You will support pupils aged 7–19 with autism spectrum needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Ability to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Empathetic, nurturing approach with strong behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 7–19 with ASN in various settings across the school.
• Assist with small group interventions and 1:1 support as needed.
• Contribute to a supportive, structured learning environment and adapt to situations.
