Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a specialist school starting in September. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups with students who have SEN and complex needs, including Autism.

You will support social and emotional development, liaise with teachers, and contribute to a safe learning environment. The position is full-time, 08:30am-4:15pm, Monday to Friday during term time, with onsite parking and DPD CPD training offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• GCSE Maths and English (pass).
• Ability to motivate children and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 1:1 and small group support to develop social skills and behaviour.
• Support the teacher in class delivery and adapt activities as needed.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of young people at all times.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with staff across the school.
• Use EHCP targets to guide progress and set measurable outcomes.
