Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a specialist school in Guildford. You will work 1:1 and in small groups with students, supporting those with SEN and complex needs, including autism.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (pass grade).
• Ability to motivate children and manage behaviour.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to engage and build relationships with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 1:1 and small group support to develop social skills and learning.
• Support and reinforce positive behaviour and emotional development.
• Liaise with teachers and staff about student needs and progress.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of young people at all times.
• Work with SENCO to ensure effective home-school communication.
