Connex Education is working with a Primary School in Birkenhead that is recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 1 with SEN and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting the child throughout the school day, helping them to access the curriculum and engage with learning in a calm, structured, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, proactive, and experienced in working with children with additional needs.
This is a vibrant and nurturing two form entry school where every child is encouraged to feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. Staff are dedicated to providing a warm, structured environment where children’s individual strengths are recognised and supported.
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting in January 2026. There is the possibility for the role to continue for the academic year (until July 2026) for the right candidate.
